Getting Started: The Shurley English Jingles are taught in a prescribed order. So, start with the first jingle found in the Shurley English Jingles playlist on our YouTube Channel. Here are a few Jingle Guidelines you may wish to follow:
Jingles should only take a few minutes. Review jingles during the first few minutes of your mornings.
When a new jingle is being introduced, you should spend a little extra time to make sure your children are reciting the new jingle correctly, smoothly, and together.
If you add simple motions to the jingles, students retain more information. The strategies of rhythm and movement enhance memory by engaging the whole brain.
Encourage your children to have fun during Jingle Time! This is a great learning opportunity. They will remember these jingles even as adults.
